Earth Day. Every Day.

This Earth Day, we’re proud to continue our efforts to keep the outdoor places we play clean and green for many generations to come. From product to packaging to practices, we push ourselves toward greater sustainability in everything we do. We’ve come far, and don’t plan on stopping.

So as we gear up to celebrate our biggest Earth Day to date, let’s recap our own progress so far. On our road to sustainability, we’ve built an ecosystem of initiatives to address our impact and help you reduce yours.

OUR IMPACT

Man on his bicycle at the edge of a ridge

…On the atmosphere

We offset 8.2 million pounds of carbon.
That’s like taking 900 cars off the road for a year.
As a Climate Neutral Certified brand, we measured our carbon footprint from 2020 and offset it completely. Offsetting isn’t a substitute for reducing emissions, but it’s an important step we’re taking to protect the outdoor spaces we all love.

Thanks to our carbon-neutral certification last year. This means that we measured our carbon footprint from 2020 and offset it completely. Offsetting isn’t a substitute for reducing emissions, but it’s an important step we’re taking to protect the outdoor spaces we all love.

…On the environment

11+ Million Plastic Water Bottles Upcycled
That enough to fill 110 school buses.
From bottle to blanket. We use discarded plastic bottles and recycle them into the synthetic insulation and polyester that make up our best-selling products; preventing them from ending up in landfills where they would otherwise leech into the ecosystem.

Rumpl has been a member of 1% For the Planet since 2017 and we are Climate Neutral Certified, meaning we offset the carbon emissions of our entire company. In 2021, we officially became a Certified B Corporation. The B Corp Certification means that Rumpl is committed to a high standard and that we care about the effects of our business on society, on the environment, and on the world.

Environmental Justice For All
Sustainability isn’t just about using the right materials or racking up eco-accolades. It’s about making a safer, healthier environment for everyone. In addition to our year-round environmental commitments, we periodically support local and grassroots causes that we believe in, such as: First Peoples Fund, Sheltersuit Foundation, Save The Waves, WeGotNext, and more.

Meet RAD Artists Jessie & Katey

THE BASICS   Name: Jessie Unterhalter & Katey Truhn Residence: Baltimore, MD Occupation: Muralist team Jessie and Katey are a Baltimore-based artist team that transforms public spaces into playful and vibrant experiences. We sat down with the pair to learn more about their process and their latest collaboration with Rumpl. You guys have a signature, geometric style to your art. Has that always been your go-to style or has that evolved over time? Katey: I think it kind of happened over time because we were really interested in murals and the murals we started off making were a little wackier and didn't have as much form in them. Then it kind of made sense going with perfect geometry because we were scaling our designs up and needed a method to do that. It just work...

I’d create live costumery and would sell them as we would make them. What was your first commission? There was a woman opening a meditation room and my first commission was to tie dye the meditation room. She wanted the walls and the floors to all be in one continuo...
